Happy Monday loves! Just wanted to give you a quick recap on my time at TBDFest on Saturday. It was my first time going and it was a ton of fun! (Way more than I was expecting to have). My girlfriends and I started the day off later and got to TBDFest around 5. I was so happy we got there when we did because it was really really hot until the sun went down. For those of you who stayed the whole day, I give you major props lol. I had to drink tons of water to combat the heat – its actually really nice because they had a water filling station there so that people could refill their water bottles, camelbaks, etc.
My favorite artists were Ratatat, Porter Robinson, Mobb Deep, Chance the Rapper, and of course Pretty Lights. As far as festivals go, TBDFest is definitely still growing as a festival so they don’t have a ton of huge headliners. The nice thing about that is that you can experience artists you’ve never seen or heard of before! I really liked Ratatat, Porter Robinson, and Chance the Rapper. They were all great live and had awesome energy. Of course, ending the night with Pretty Lights was phenomenal. The lights and displays during his set were my favorite.
One of the best things about the festival was spending time with my girls and also running into a ton of friends! I swear everyone who’s from Sacramento was at TBDFest this weekend 😉 It’s just great to have a weekend filled with dancing, eating, great music, friends, and good vibes. I mean what more can you really ask for? 🙂
But okay.. Let’s get to my favorite part of the night.. I’ve heard and seen so much about The Parlor and their ice cream puffs (aka an ice cream sandwich but with a donut). YES that’s right, a DONUT ICE CREAM SAM! I’ve always wanted to try them but never made an effort to go to their storefront every time I’m home visiting my parents in Sacramento. Well.. I now regret that I’ve gone so long without eating one because it was absolutely divine. If you know me, I have the world’s biggest sweet tooth so I had a feeling that I was going to love love love this ice cream puff. I got the Wendell (Vanilla ice cream w a cinnamon swirl) inside a plain glazed donut. My picture certainly doesn’t do it justice, so here is their Instagram.. If you live in the Sacramento area, you have to go try these!! They were the highlight of my night, weekend, etc.
Hope you enjoyed this little recap of my time at TBDFest. I’m definitely going to go next year if they have lineup I like. Happy Monday! XO

I loved these live art pieces! So cool to see people create these right in front of you.
