So despite my long absence on the blog, I have been making an effort to post more outfits of the day on my Instagram. Big thanks to all of you for sticking with me while I took a little break due to my crazy work schedule 🙂 just for fun, I wanted to start doing some Instagram roundups so that I can link the items of the clothing in my IG posts without doing formal blog posts on them. Here’s the last few weeks worth of outfits:
Chambray Shirt: Cotton On (old) similar here| Leggings: Express (old) almost identical here | Watch: Daniel Wellington | Flats: Tory Burch Reva
I rarely like leopard but I do like pops of leopard prints in the form of a scarf, belt, or flats. Pairing it with chambray makes for a nice casual friday fit. I wear these express side zipper leggings all the time! I’m due for a new pair 😉 The Tory Burch Reva flats I linked are the new style. Mine are a few years old and have the scrunched back – I have yet to try on the new style and compare but I’m sure the fit is basically the same.
Camel Coat: Nordstrom on sale right now! | Houndstooth Scarf: Old Navy (old) but LOVE this one from Etsy | Lipstick: MAC Whirl Lipliner and MAC Twig Lipstick
I had been searching for a camel peacoat for a really really long time and picked this one up during the #NSale for less than $40! I honestly wear it all the time it’s perfect for the fall and winter and matches everything because it’s a neutral color. Luckily, it’s on sale again right now! I got an XS for sizing reference. This scarf is one I love to bring to out during the fall season because it’s pretty lightweight. This particular one is a few seasons old from Old Navy but I’m obsessed with the Etsy one I linked!
If you know me, you know I have a bajillion lipsticks and lip liners. I love creating different lip combos and this one is perfect for the fall since it’s a darker pinky mauve nude. 🙂
Jacket: Zara (old) | Olive Jeans: Express | Booties: Nordstrom BP Trolley Booties
I love olive and green tones for the fall season. When I saw these olive jeans at Express, I knew I had to get them. They have this really cool moto detailing on the thigh. I think they’re much more “green” in person than they are on the website. I love them so much! I think they run a little big though since I got a 00 and usually am a 0 in their jeans.
I wish that you could see my jacket in this photo – this is probably my favorite jacket of all time. It’s a mixed material faux leather and wool jacket from Zara that I got back in 2012. It’s still so relevant/goes with tons of outfits. I always get compliments when I wear it and I have yet to find a close alternative for it. I will definitely let you know if/when I do!
Bridesmaid dress: Jenny Yoo
My older sister got married a couple weeks ago! All of her bridesmaids wore this beautiful gown by Jenny Yoo. It’s actually a convertible dress so her other bridesmaid were able to wear it in different styles. I personally love strapless dresses so it was a no brainer for me to keep it the way it was. I got the dress altered and they did such a great job! I really wanted to share more photos of the wedding in Muir Woods but I wanted to respect her privacy 😉
Sweater: Nordstrom (old)Â almost identical here | Black Ripped Jeans: Express | Booties: Nordstrom BP Trott Booties | Â Hat: H&M | Sidebody Bag: Coach (old) almost identical here
The weekend before Halloween, my boyfriend, best friend, and I headed to a local pumpkin patch. This time of the year is my absolute favorite – I get real festive for every holiday! We carved our pumpkins that night and watched Casper. Sooooo cute and still one of my favorite Halloween movies (right next to Hocus Pocus).
I wore these distressed black jeans with a lace trimmed sweater. These jeans are so comfy and the rips are just enough to add that extra edge. I know I’ll be getting a ton of use out of these this season. This sweater was from the #NSale so it’s unfortunately sold out now but I linked an almost identical version from an online store called Venus. I’ve ordered something from there before and their shipping was pretty fast and reliable. The dark lips and black hat made for a perfect fall look. My best friend said it was very “Witches of East End” lol.
Scarf: Nordstrom (old) similar here | Riding Boots: Sam Edelman in Whiskey
We are finally getting some rain in California! Whenever it starts raining, I always pull out the tights and boots. These Sam Edelman boots are so comfy and the leather is super soft. They’re perfect with dresses, jeans, and everything in between. This scarf is one of my favorites from five or six years ago, I linked a similar style but it’s a men’s scarf hehe.

Cardigan: American Eagle (old) similar here | Plaid Shirt: BP (Print sold out, other prints here) | Jeans: Madewell |        Wedges: Nordstrom
Another casual friday look that was totally based around being cozy. I just love plaid – this is actually the plaid shirt that started my plaid obsession this year. This particular print has sold out but they have tons of other prints on Nordstrom right now and they’re all under $50. Layering cardigans over plaid shirts or gingham shirts is a favorite of mine. It’s so polished yet comfortable at the same time. These wedges are a great “fall wedge” since they cover so much of the foot and they’re a warm cognac color.
Black Fur Vest: H&M | Flats: Halogen @ Nordstrom |Bag: Michael Kors
I’m a sucker for an all-black outfit with textural details. I always think if I’m going all-black then I have to have some interesting fabrics going on in there. The flats have studded detail and a stingray print leather which add just the right pop of edginess to an outfit. I actually prefer these over the Valentino ones they’re inspired by because they’re much more office friendly. (Okay and they’re also like $800 more affordable). Faux fur vests are a staple in my closet during the colder months. I just can’t get over how warm they are and how chic they make every outfit. Faux fur anything makes me feel pretty fabulous 😉
And that’s it for this Instagram roundup! I hope you gals loved it and I’m planning to do one of these every so often so that I can link all of my IG outfits that I don’t officially put on my blog. See ya next week ♥
