It’s Holiday season! And you know what that means… holiday parties! I love getting dolled up and glammed up for a holiday event. Every year, I think of a few styles that I want to wear for all the different holiday events and parties we go to. I always need a dress for my work holiday party, christmas eve, and other holiday events we get invited to 🙂
Our holiday work party is coming up this Saturday and I am SO excited! I am wearing this black sequined dress from Lulu’s 🙂 Every year, our firm goes all out for the holidays. My favorite part of the evening (besides getting all dressed up) is the photobooth and of course the dancing! I just love when my song comes on and I’m on the dance floor like heyyy 😉
Below are some of my favorite picks this year. I thought it’d be fun to sort the dresses by color since that’s usually the first thing I decide on when I’m looking for the perfect holiday dress!
Is there anything classier than an LBD? You really can’t go wrong with a black dress for the holidays. My favorite way to dress up a black dress or jumpsuit up for the holidays is by adding a bright red lip! If you have a really fancy event, opt for a floor length gown. I wore one to the Nutcracker last year and it was so gorgeous!
I never wear bright true red in my every day life. It’s just not one of my favorite colors – however, during the holiday season I think red sweaters and red dresses are just so festive and scream holiday. It’s the only time of the year I’ll rock a true red dress 🙂
I just love the deep rich color of wine and burgundy this time of the year. It’s so understated but it’s a really beautiful and festive color in it’s own way. I’m a big fan of vampy lipstick too 😉 My work holiday dress last year was burgundy and it was one of my favorites!
Forest green is one of those colors that often gets overlooked during the holiday season but they can make for some stunning dresses. I think because green is so unexpected it’s bound to have a “wow” factor when you arrive at the party 😉
Velvet is a huge trend this season and you’re going to see a ton of cute holiday velvet dresses. This lush fabric looks very luxurious and expensive without actually being that expensive!
Tis the season for sparkle! There’s really no other time of year that you can wear a whole bedazzled dress and not seem out of place. Sequined dresses are popular every holiday season – for good reason! They’re showstoppers and add just the right amount of glitz & glam to your holiday ensemble. My work holiday dress this year is a sequined dress 🙂
If you don’t know by now, I’m lipstick obsessed *hearts eyes*. Adding a colorful lip to our wardrobe this Christmas is a sure way to make your outfit festive and cheerful. Below are some of my favorite bold statement lip colors for you to rock this season.
Hope you all enjoyed this holiday dress post! If you end up wearing any of these to your holiday event, please send me a message and show me! I love seeing all everyone’s holiday looks and how they styled different dresses. XOXO
