Buying your first lipstick is about as difficult as finding your soulmate- it’s hard to find the right one that compliments you, is long lasting, and most importantly makes you feel gorg throughout the day. Okay, maybe I’m exaggerating but it certainly does take time to find the right shades and finishes that compliment your beauty. I bought my first lippie when I was 18 – I still remember that it was “Fairest Nude” by L’oreal. Flashforward seven years and 80 something lippies later, here I am sharing my favorite MAC lippies with you!
As a beauty brand, MAC lives in a land superior to drugstore brands but still not as high end as brands like YSL, Lancome, and Bobbi Brown. What this means for you is that buying MAC lippies offers you a comparably higher product with a less expensive price tag. Most MAC lippies retail for $16 – which is quite a steal considering the quality, pigmentation, and color selection they provide.
On a day to day basis, I am a pinky-nude girl through and through as I am such a sucker for those “your lips but better” shades. But on those special occasions and those days I just want to feel more glam, I love rocking a bright colored lip. The following are my absolute favorite MAC lipsticks I’ve collected over the years.

Diva (Matte)-Described as a deep burgundy, this is a must-have for fall. Â I love wearing Diva with a simple eye look so that the dark rich color really stands out. You can buy it here:Â MAC – Diva
Rebel (Satin)-Described as a creamy plum, this is another fall favorite. The color applies much lighter than it looks in tube which makes it very wearable. I always get compliments whenever I wear this pretty berry plum color. You can buy it here:Â MAC – Rebel
Flat Out Fabulous (Retro Matte)-Described as a bright matte plum with hues of pink. I got this color over the holidays last year and wore it to many holiday parties. It goes great with a champagne eyeshadow! Like most matte shades, it dries your lips out over time so be sure to mousturize and prep your lips before. You can buy it here:Â MAC – Flat Out Fabulous
Pink Pigeon (Matte)Â – Described as a bright clean pink, this color is the perfect barbie girl pink. Many people prefer Candy Yum Yum but I think Pink Pigeon is a nice toned down version that is more wearable for casual occasions. You can buy it here:Â MAC – Pink Pigeon
Toying Around (Amplified) – Described as a hot coral pink, this color is just perfect for summer. I think it’s a bit more orangey-coral than pink on the lips though. I love wearing this color with a sleek top bun! This one is unfortunately a limited edition shade but MAC sometimes brings limited edition shades back from time to time.
Im-Passioned (Amplified Creme)-Described as an amped-up fuschia, this shade is to dieee for! I seriously love wearing this color during the spring and summer seasons. It’s so creamy and I think it would look great on all skin tones! You can buy it here:Â MAC – Impassioned
Twig (Satin)-Described as a soft brown-pink, this lippie is really good for business casual wear! This is probably one of the darker neutral shades I own, but I love it since it makes me download vroot for pc look more “mature.” I usually like wearing this lippie during fall seasons and colder weather. Velvet Teddy (Matte)- Described as a deep-tone beige, this is THE best matte nude ever. I seriously fell in love with it at first sight. Okay, I have like 20 nude lipsticks and I swear sometimes they do all look the same but Velvet Teddy is a game changer. Kinda Sexy (Matte)-Described as a neutral pinky-rose, this is another great nude matte shade. I think this color on my lips looks more “peachy” than Velvet Teddy and is a softer look. The rose and peachy hues make it a great natural looking color for a simple makeup look. This was actually the first MAC lipstick I ever bought! You can buy it here:Â MAC – Kinda Sexy
Modesty (Cremesheen)-Described as a muted neutral pink, this is a shade I’ve been wearing non stop since I got it. I think it’s the perfect cool-toned pink nude and it’s sooo creamy! I personally love cremesheen lippies the most bc of how they apply to the lips. The color payoff is great but it’s not as long lasting as matte lipsticks. I always wear Soar lipliner (also from MAC) underneath to make sure it lasts throughout vce to pdf converter the day. This is actually the only shade I’ve ever bought without hearing about it via Youtube, Instagram, or word of mouth. I just tried it on at the MAC counter and fell in love. Shy Girl (Cremesheen)-Described as a neutral coral-beige, this shade always makes my lips look so plump with a lip liner. It’s a really luscious color and the creaminess of the formula makes your lips look so soft. It’s on the warmer shade spectrum of nudes so it looks great with all makeup looks without washing you out. You can buy it here:Â MAC – Shy GIrl
