Little Black Dress – Business Edition

It pretty much goes without saying that every girl needs a LBD (little black dress). It also goes without saying that you need a LBD for every occasion – and this one I’m wearing for today’s post is perfect to wear at the office. This fitted black sheath dress is great for every body shape and it really accentuates your curves! The material is thick so it covers any lumps/bumps and it’s also stretchy so it’s incredibly flattering. I’ve had my eye on the Sloan Dress from Banana Republic for a long time and I finally bought it when it was on major sale a few months ago. It’s currently at full retail price on their website, but you can always check back for the crazy sales Banana Republic has frequently. (Sometimes they even do additional % off of sale prices!)

If you’re starting out in your professional career, it’s great to purchase staple pieces like this. When I first entered the corporate world a year ago, it was certainly a struggle finding great quality pieces for business casual/professional wear. A huge piece of advice I can give you is looking out for great sales– I was able to get this dress for $70 compared to $140 full retail!
