Layered Shirttail Sweater

A big fall trend I’ve been seeing are these layered shirttail sweaters! I think they’re absolutely perfect for Fall – nice and casual layering made easy. This sweater from Treasure & Bond caused me a lot of grief during the #NSale this year. I had to order it 3 different times and I still didn’t get the right size. I had to settle for a size S – which fits, but could use a little tailoring to be more fitted. I love it nonetheless – the flannel is a great mix of blue and red and the light grey sweater is warm (but not itchy or scratchy).

What’s really cool about this trend is the layered illusion it gives without the bulkiness of layering. I don’t know about you but sometimes after I add a few layers on I start feeling like the michelin man lol. It’s really really easy for me to lose my frame when I start adding sweaters over shirts. This sweater is effortless clothing at its best – I can totally see myself wearing this all fall season whenever I’m not sure what to wear and just want to throw something on to get out the door while still looking cute. I paired the sweater with my favorite Madewell jeans and a pair of chocolate booties I’ve had for years. I can’t wait to wear this sweater all throughout the Fall season! <3
