Why hello there – long time no blog 😉 I’m so excited today to share with you my vacation outfits from my trip to San Diego! It was such a special trip and I’m so happy I finally got to wear some of these spring/summer pieces that I’ve picked up over the last few months. Whether you are planning a vacation or just started shopping for spring and summer, I hope this post will give you some outfit ideas!
Top: Lulu’s (love the white version too!) | Jeans: Express Also love these which are a little more affordable – I have a pair of jeans from this brand and loveee them| Wedges: Toms 30% off right now!
Beach life with this babe of mine!
Top: BP (love this so much I got it in black too! so easy to pair with shorts or jeans) | Shorts: Forever21 (old) similar here | Sandals: Target (love these so much and they come in a bunch of different colors – only $15!) | Sunnies: Rayban (Nordstrom is price matching right now and these are 25% off!)
Romper: Brandy Melville it also comes in black! (FYI – their clothing is one size fits all) | Cross Body Bag: Coach (old style) similar style here | Curling Wand: Nume 32mm – I have a tutorial on how I get these waves here
We went on a private sail through San Diego Bay and had the best time! The company was called Sea Forth Rentals
You know I had to take a pic when I stumbled upon a Pure Barre while on vacay! 😉
Dress: Mimi Chica (I can’t find this print online, but here is the style of dress it comes in tons of different colors and prints and is so comfortable!) | Wedges: Jessica Simpson (these are 5 inches, but surprisingly very comfortable!) | Cross Body Bag: Coach (old style) similar style here
Top: Leith (honestly so obsessed with this halter top that I kind of want it in white too 😉 ) | Jeans: Express Also love these | Wedges: Jessica Simpson
**For all backless tops, I always wear a sticky bra! I swear by this Nubra one. These stay sticky forever and all you have to do is wash it with soap and water after each use. Don’t expect full coverage it’s not really meant for that but it will definitely keep everything in place
Kaftan: Lulu’s (currently sold out 🙁 ) other cute black kaftans here & here | Hat: San Diego Hat Company (got this at a boutique in SF so not sure about where it retails, you can order online here) similar here | Bikini: Victoria’s Secret Flirt Bandeau and Itsy Bottom in the color “Neon Lotus” VS is having 20% off swimwear right now with code “SWIM20”
Floral Sundress: Express (I can’t find this print online, but I just got it recently so it should still be in stores! Here is the link for the black and a blue/purple floral) | Wedges: Toms 30% off right now!
And of course.. the most important dress of all 😉 this beautiful low back floral maxi is what I wore the evening we got engaged! It’s currently sold out but hopefully will come back in stock soon!
We had the most amazing time in San Diego. The weather was literally perfect – 75 and sunny the whole time we were there. I could honestly live there but it would be hard for us to be so far away from our loved ones. I guess we will just have to visit a lot 🙂
We stayed at the Hotel Del Coronado and it was an absolutely amazing experience. Everyone there is so helpful and sweet and it’s right on Coronado beach. The beach is public though so it can get a little crowded during the day. They even have yoga and cycling classes on the beach!! So happy we got to experience this historic beauty and of course, it will always have a special place in our hearts because of our engagement there.
If you’re visiting San Diego, here are some must-eat places!
Breakfast/Brunch
Snooze an AM Eatery – Get the OMG! French Toast
Hash House A Go Go – Get the Bacon, Avocado, Onion, and Swiss Scramble or the Corned Beef Hash. Their plates are legit as big as my head!
Lunch
Lucha Libre Taco Shop – Get the Surfin California (it’s steak, shrimp, fries, cheese, do I really need to go on??)
Phil’s BBQ – Get the pork ribs sooooo good!
Dinner
Bankers Hill Bar & Restaurant – Get the BBQ Pork Tacos
Island Prime – Just get everything… No really.. Ah! So delicious and right on the water. We went here after we got engaged and had one of the best meals! We always try crab cakes wherever we go and this one made top 5 for sure. Their popovers were to die for.
Hope you enjoyed this travel recap and outfit post! I’ve missed blogging so much!! I’m going to start blogging about the wedding planning process very soon 🙂 I’m such an obsessive and crazy planner and I can’t wait to share my wedding planning journey with you! Just ordered this Erin Condren wedding planner – I love how you can customize it with photos of you and your sweetie! I got this for my best friend when she got engaged last Fall and she said it helped her so much! Can’t wait for it to arrive 🙂
Be on the lookout for an engagement post sometime this week and until then, XOXO!
