Hi loves! Happy Wednesday 🙂 We are one week out from Thanksgiving and I wanted to share some easy outfit ideas to recreate for your Thanksgiving outfit next week! I included casual looks as well as dressier looks – if you’re planning to eat all the turkey, stuffing, and dessert I would opt for the looks with oversized sweaters 😉 I included the sweater I wore to last year’s thanksgiving too! One thing you’ll notice is that a lot of these looks include items from other looks in this post – I am such a fan of finding closet staples that you can end up mixing and matching in other outfits. Hopefully you can get some inspo from these thanksgiving outfit ideas for what to wear for Turkey day with some new items and items that you already have in your closet ♥
Look #1: Classic Cable Knit Sweater and Ripped Jeans
Sweater: Dreamers by Debut | Ripped Jeans: BP | Booties: Vince Camuto similar here and here
I mean what’s more classic than a cable knit sweater for fall? This one is tunic length so you can tuck it in for a more fitted feel. I love love love these pair of ripped jeans I just got! You’ll see that it originally had velvet backing on two of the holes but I cut out one of the holes so that it would look more distressed 🙂
Look 2: Bell Sleeve Sweater with a pop of Maroon
Outfit Details
Bell Sleeve Sweater: TopShop (also comes in yellow!) | Jeans: Express | Wedges: BP Nordstrom (old) similar here | Black Tote: BP | Hat: BP (old) similar here
Bell sleeves are so in this year and this one has a really cute lattice back. It’s super flowy and big so perfect for that extra helping of Thanksgiving food goodness!
Look #3: Cognac and Plaid
Poncho: H&M (old) similar here and here | Sweater: Express (old) almost identical here | Jeans: Articles of Society | Booties: Topshop (old) identical here| Black Tote: BP
Ponchos are just the ultimate cozy item. A plaid one is easy to throw over any sweater but I love the combo of this orange rust sweater with the black and white plaid. Perfect for Thanksgiving!!
Look #4: Brick Red Sweater and Black ripped jeans
Sweater: Dreamers by Debut (old) similar here | Jeans: Express | Block heels: Target | Black Tote: BP | Black Wool Fedora: H&M (old) similar here
This is the exact sweater I wore last year for Thanksgiving and it was so soft and warm. I love v-neck sweaters since they always dress you up a little more than a high neck sweater.
Look #5: Black Long-Sleeve Dress with a blanket scarf and long boots
Dress: Leith Sold out in Black but other cute option here | Boots: Ugg (sold out) similar here | Scarf: Madewell (sold out) similar here, here, and here
This is the “IT” dress of the season and it can be styled so many ways! I wore it with a cozy plaid scarf and tall boots here. If you’re going to a more dressy thanksgiving dinner, you can’t go wrong with a dress and long boots. If you want a more relaxed fit, I would go for a sweater dress!
Look #6: Cozy in Black and CamelÂ
Scarf: Free People | Tunic: BP | Leggings: Zella | Boots: Sam Edelman | Tote: Tory Burch
This is the comfiest scarf I have ever owned!! It definitely took me a while to actually get it because of the price but trust me, it is well worth it. It comes in a few other neutral colors too – the grey would be a great color that would go with a ton of outfits. And these leggings are so thick that you can easily wear them with sweaters and boots. They’re much warmer than regular leggings. These are the high waisted version too so they suck everything in.
Look #7: Grey Poncho and all black outfit
Poncho: Target | Black Turtleneck: Halogen | Leggings: Zella | Boots: Sam Edelman | Black Tote: BP | Black Floppy Hat: BP old, similar here and here
I think every girl needs a black turtleneck top – this one for Halogen is a thinner material so it’s very slimming and great for throwing a thicker cardi or poncho over. I just love the combo of black and grey this time of the year. It always looks very chic and polished.
Look #8: Warm Fuzzy NeutralsÂ
Sweater: H&M | Scarf: Free People | Jeans: Articles of Society | Boots: Ugg (sold out) similar here
This is probably one of my favorite and go-to looks for a cozy fall look. I just love camel and a warm white sweater. This one is almost like a fuzzy teddy bear material – so perfect for Thanksgiving!
Look #9: Laidback with a Grey Duster Cardigan
Duster Cardigan: BP | Jeans: Articles of Society | Tiered Tank: BP (old) | Wedges: BP Nordstrom (old) similar here | Tote: Tory Burch
Loving the duster cardigan trend this year!! This one is so soft and it’s really flattering. I got an XS in this one for reference. This look is so simple but I love that it’s easy to recreate for a casual thanksgiving outfit. You can ever switch out the shoes for the outfit and wear comfy uggs or flats if you want it to be more low-key 😉
Look #10: Burgundy Turtleneck with black accessories
Sweater: H&M | Jeans: Articles of Society | Boots: Sam Edelman | Black Tote: BP | Black Floppy Hat: BP old, similar here and here
And last but not least is this really cute burgundy and black look! I love this turtleneck sweater so much -it’s only $20 what a steal! It’s not a full turtleneck and it’s really lightweight. This color is always so festive to me and I love wearing it this time of the year. If you’re in the mood to match, a dark berry lip would really finish this outfit off 🙂
And that’s it for my Thanksgiving outfit idea post! I hope you all enjoyed it 🙂 XOXO
