The Sephora Spring sale is here! This is one of my favorite sales of the year to cover. It only happens two times a year – in the spring (typically in April) and in the fall (typically in November). I use it to 1) restock on favorite items that are running low and 2) try new makeup products I’ve been eyeing. I’ve been a rouge member for a few years now so the 20% discount is amazing – especially for brands that don’t regularly go on sale. The discount is tiered by levels and you can always sign into your online account to view your tier.
VIB ROUGE (Spend $1000 at Sephora in a calendar year) – 20% off your purchase with SPRINGSAVE 4/17-5/1
VIB (Spend $350 at Sephora in a calendar year) – 15% off your purchase with SPRINGSAVE 4/21-/4/29
Beauty Insider (Free to join) – 10% off your purchase with SPRINGSAVE 4/23-4/27
Now let’s get to what I grabbed from the sale and then I’ll dive to “best of” for all the beauty categories.
About half of these were restocks – the IT Cosmetics CC cream, Tatcha primer, Charlotte Tilbury powder, Lancome serum, and Sephora nude liner. I use all of these every day with the exception of the Tatcha primer which I use for more full coverage and flawless makeup days.
I’ve been wanting to try the Drunk Elephant Baby Facial, Born this Way concealer, and Charlotte Tilbury cream shadow for a while so I grabbed the shadow in Jean and concealer in Natural Beige. I stumbled upon the Laneige Glowy Serum and Jouer Blush while shopping around. The serum looks so interesting and the blush duo looks perfect for spring! I grabbed it in the shade Darling. And last but not least, I finally caved and got a pump for my beloved NARS Sheer Glow foundation.
I ended up adding a few other things to my cart and ordering before the sale went live to VIB! I’ve been wanting to try Farmacy products, the double end brush (I think the smaller side will be great for setting underage concealer), and the smash box liquid lipstick!
FOUNDATION
Oh I love all of these foundations so much and they all serve a different purpose if you will. I have a highlight going more in depth on all of them! My top pick overall will forever be NARS Sheer Glow and my most luxurious pick is the Armani Luminous Silk. I use the Flawless Filter after primer and before foundation when I want an extra flawless finish.
Shade names: Charlotte Tilbury: 3 Light Medium // NARS – Barcelona // Armani: 5.75 // Estee Lauder: Tawny // IT Cosmetics: Medium Tan // Laura Mercier: 3W1 // Dior: 3W // Bare Minerals: Ginger – 06
For reference, I am generally medium with warm undertones when selecting foundations. I would describe my skin as normal with some oil in my t-zone by the end of the day.
PRIMER
Lately I haven’t been wearing primer daily because I’m not really leaving the house but these are four of my favorite primers! The Tatcha is the best for full coverage and flawless makeup days while the others are interchangeable for every day wear. The Tula one is not on Sephora but you can always use SWEETANDPETITE for 15% off.
CONCEALER
I equally love the NARS and Urban Decay concealers for any areas with hyperpigmentation. Currently, I’m using the NARS. My holy grail underage concealer is Tarte but it’s not sold on Sephora. You can get still get 15% off though with code KHANH on Tarte’s website.
Shade names: NARS – Custard // Urban Decay – Light Medium Neutral – 40NN // Tarte: Light Medium Neutral 29N
For reference, I usually get light or light medium with neutral undertones when selecting concealers.
SETTING POWDER, FINISHING POWDER, AND SETTING SPRAY
I’ve never strayed much when it comes to setting powder. I love love love Laura Mercier. It’s just the best. I did recently try the Charlotte Tilbury product and it is amazing as well – that one has color while the Laura Mercier is translucent. This is still my favorite setting spray of all time – always have a bottle on backup! If you must grab one item from this sale that you didn’t know you needed, it’d be this lighting palette. This is a finishing powder so it’s meant to be put on after your setting powder. It makes my skin look so radiant and glowy!
Shade names: Laura Mercier – Translucent // Charlotte Tilbury: Medium 2
BRONZER
The Hourglass is my favorite of all time but the Tarte has been great for quick makeup days and I kind of love the slight coconut tropical scent it has. The other two are matte and great for contouring.
Shade names: Hourglass: Radiant Bronze Light// Fenty: I$land Ting // Tarte: Park Ave Princess // Benefit: Hoola
BLUSH
My favorite blush at the moment is the Charlotte Tilbury but I love all of these colors. They all have great pigment and last all day long!
Shade Names: Charlotte Tilbury: Ecstasy and Pillowtalk // Tarte: Risque // Hourglass: Mood Exposure // NARS: Orgasm
HIGHLIGHTER
Love all of these but most recently I’ve been so into the Jouer one! I picked it up randomly after swatching it in store while I was on my Seattle trip in February. It gives the most amazing glow and is less expensive compared to the others.
Shade names: Jouer – Skinny Dip // Fenty: Mean Money/Hu$tla Baby // Becca: Opal and Champagne Pop // Charlotte Tilbury: Spotlight
BROWS AND EYES
Shade names: Anastasia: Chocolate // Becca: Light to Medium // Charlotte Tilbury: Pillow Talk and Golden Goddess
LIPSTICK
Note that I can’t choose the color that shows up in the image below sometimes so the colors are all off. These are primarily nudes and peachy nudes 🙂 My most recent purchase is the Givenchy one and I love the color! It’s so creamy and the formula is amazing. Otherwise, my most worn is the NARS paired with the Sephora #2 liner.
Shade names: Givenchy: Beige Caraman // NARS: Belle De Jour // Too Faced: Skinny Dippin’ and Birthday Suit //Tarte: Colada and Sunkissed // Charlotte Tilbury: Pillowtalk // Patrick Ta: She’s Unapologetic // KVD: Ludwig, Bow n Arrow and Double Dare // Anastasia: Pure Hollywood and Hudson // Huda Beauty: Sugar Mama // Bobbi Brown: Lychee Baby
