Happy Friday Beauties! Today I’m gonna share with you the makeup products I use every morning when I get ready for work. I like to keep my makeup pretty simple for work – no winged linger, no highlighter, no bright lip color. And then I go full glam on the weekend! đ I work at a pretty professional firm so I always want to make sure my makeup is work appropriate, but still me. My makeup routine usually takes me about 20-25 minutes in the morning. Soooo… let’s get to it!
BROWS
I always start my routine off with my brows – I like to think that having good brows is the start to a good day haha. I have a full post and a short video on my eyebrow routine here.

EYES
I love finding ways to brighten the eyes up. I think a bit of eyeliner and mascara always do the trick when it comes to making your eyes pop. I’ve been using a neutral base/primer and a brush of bronzer on my lid. It’s such a natural look but I love that it still gives my eyes definition. Depending on my mood (and how late I slept in hehe), I apply liquid liner on my top lid. Nothing fancy, and definitely no winged liner. I’m too lazy to attempt that during the week/for work. Then I curl my lashes and put on mascara. I use two different kinds – these short asian lashes need all the help they can get! If you weren’t blessed with long luscious lashes, try using two mascaras – a volumizing one and a lengthening one. It’s worked wonders for my lashes. After all my makeup is on, I’ll go back to line my waterline and curl my lashes before heading out.

FACE
I forgot to photograph it, but I always use primer on my face before applying my face makeup. I moisturize before my entire makeup routine, let that rest, then apply my primer and let that rest before finally putting face products on. I put concealer on my hyperpigmented areas (around my nose) and under my eyes to cover up dark circles. Then I put on my foundation with a beauty blender sponge. If you haven’t used one of these, you NEED to. It seriously makes your makeup look flawless and so much easier to apply. They’re kind of expensive ($20 for a tiny little sponge) but it seriously has changed my foundation application. I finish off with a translucent pressed powder, which just locks in my makeup all day without adding any additional color.

CHEEKS
Adding bronzer and blush to my face instantly creates that glowy look that I love for my makeup. I forgot to photograph it but I’ve been using the Lorac PRO Contour Palette for about a week now and I LOVE it! I’m going to try to get a video of my contour routine up for you gals as soon as I figure out a filming spot in my apartment. Before the Lorac palette, I was using the NYC Sunny Bronzer to contour for years and loved it. It’s really pigmented/smooth and a great dupe for Benefit Hoola Bronzer. For summer, I’ve been really into bronzy glowy skin. I use the Milani baked bronzer in Glow on my cheeks and then add a little bit of blush just for some rosy color. (I change out my blush depending on my mood but it’s been LoveJoy for a few weeks now). During the warmer months, I gravitate towards shimmery blushes and in the colder months, I gravitate towards matte blushes.

LIPS
Let me just say – I feel naked without any lipstick. I never leave the house without it (unless I’m going sans-makeup/fresh face that day). As many of you know, I’m a lipstick hoarder. My collection grows everyday with colors that I probably already have haha đ I always always always line my lips. It helps my lipstick last longer throughout the day. Then I apply my lipstick and some gloss in the center of my lips for a poutier look.
